Fixed-fee IT management with proactive monitoring, responsive helpdesk and practical cloud administration — delivered by the team behind 30+ years of Sonar Technologies International's mission-critical systems.
What you get
What our managed IT service includes
Monitoring & helpdesk
Monitoring of servers, networks, wireless and endpoints, with helpdesk support by phone, email or portal. Coverage hours, escalation paths and response targets are agreed in your service plan.
Microsoft 365 & cloud
Licensing, administration, migrations and cost optimisation across Microsoft 365, Azure and hybrid environments.
Backup & disaster recovery
Tested, monitored backups for servers, cloud data and endpoints — with recovery objectives agreed up front, not discovered during a crisis.
Patch & asset management
Scheduled patching, warranty tracking and a live asset register, so audits and insurance questionnaires stop being a scramble.
Wireless monitoring
We watch the Wi-Fi in real time, so faults surface before complaints do
Wireless faults are the hardest kind to report. They are intermittent, they happen in one aisle and not the next, and by the time someone raises a ticket the device has roamed and the evidence is gone. So the fault gets blamed on the handheld, the handheld gets swapped, and it happens again a fortnight later.
Monitoring removes the guesswork. Every access point, controller and switch port on your network reports continuously, and we alert on the conditions that precede an outage rather than waiting for the outage itself — an access point that has started retrying, a channel filling with interference, a PoE port drawing more than it should. When someone does call, the answer is already on screen with a timestamp against it.
It also builds a record. A network that is measured every day tells you when a site is quietly outgrowing its design, which is a far cheaper conversation than the one that starts after peak season.
- Access point availability and reboots
- Client counts and airtime utilisation per AP
- Interference and noise floor by channel
- Roaming and authentication failures
- Switch port, PoE and uplink health
- Internet and WAN link status
- Firmware drift across the estate
- Rogue and neighbouring access points
Your IT manager
A dedicated IT manager who knows your business
Every managed client gets a dedicated IT manager: a named person who owns your account, knows how your sites are built and why the decisions behind them were made. They are who you call, and who calls you when something in the monitoring warrants a conversation.
That continuity is the point. Generic support desks lose context with every ticket, so each new problem starts from nothing and your team re-explains the same environment. A manager who already knows the racking went to six levels last March reaches the answer immediately — and spots the pattern across tickets that nobody watching a single queue would ever see.
They also own the boring, valuable work: reviewing what monitoring has picked up, tracking recurring faults to a root cause, keeping the documentation honest and telling you what needs budgeting for before it becomes urgent.
- A named manager, not a rotating queue
- Knows your sites, fleet and history
- Reviews monitoring data and acts on trends
- Tracks recurring faults to root cause
- Keeps documentation and asset records current
- Flags lifecycle and capacity work before it is urgent
Not a managed client?
On-demand engineering when a network someone else built stops behaving
You do not need an agreement with us to get an engineer. We take on one-off fault-finding for Wi-Fi, switching, NAC and rugged-device problems on networks we did not install — the scanner that drops in one aisle, the roaming failure after a firmware update, the certificate that expired on a Saturday.
The work is scoped and quoted before it starts, and it ends with a written account of what was wrong, what we changed and what still needs attention, so your team or your incumbent provider can carry it on. If the fix turns out to be a redesign, the findings are yours to use either way.
Many managed clients started this way. Others simply keep us for the hard problems and run everything else themselves, which is a perfectly good arrangement.
- Wireless fault-finding with survey and spectrum data
- Switching, VLAN, PoE and uplink faults
- 802.1X, certificate and NAC outages
- Rugged handheld, MDM and printing issues
- Remote first, on site when the fault needs it
- Written findings you keep
Why it matters
IT support built for operational businesses
Our team supports transport operators, warehouses, hospitals and manufacturers. We plan maintenance around your operations, monitor your systems and document the work, so you know what is being managed and who to contact.
Clear pricing and scope
Per-user or per-device pricing agreed up front, reviewed annually and documented in plain English. If something is out of scope, you'll know before the work starts — not on the invoice.
Getting started
How we take over support
1. Check what needs support
We list the users, devices, sites, cloud services and network equipment to be covered. We check existing records, access, licences, backups and recurring issues. If you need a system list first, start with an IT health check.
2. Agree the support terms
The agreement states support hours, how to get help, response times, escalation contacts and any site visits. It also says which project work and hardware need a separate quote.
3. Take over and review
We receive access and records through the agreed handover, set up monitoring for covered systems, and review recurring faults with your IT manager.
Fees are set out per user or device in the agreement. Site visits, projects and hardware are included only if the agreement says so.
FAQs
Common questions
What is included in your managed IT services?
Our standard agreement covers proactive monitoring, unlimited remote helpdesk, patch management, Microsoft 365 administration, backup management and a dedicated IT manager. On-site support, projects and hardware can be bundled in or quoted separately — everything is itemised so you know exactly what you pay for.
Do you monitor Wi-Fi networks in real time?
Yes. Access points, controllers, switch ports and internet links report continuously, and we alert on the conditions that lead to an outage rather than waiting for one — an access point retrying, a channel filling with interference, a PoE port drawing more than it should. It means wireless faults get diagnosed from data instead of from someone trying to describe what happened an hour ago.
What does a dedicated IT manager actually do?
They own your account: a named person who knows how your sites are built, reviews what monitoring picks up, tracks recurring faults to a root cause and tells you what needs budgeting for before it becomes urgent. You call them rather than a queue, and they call you when something warrants a conversation.
Can you monitor a network you did not install?
Usually, yes. Most enterprise wireless and switching platforms expose the data we need, so we can bring an existing environment under monitoring without replacing it. Where equipment is too old or too locked down to report usefully, we will tell you that up front rather than quietly monitoring less than you think.
Do you support businesses outside Sydney?
Yes. We are headquartered in Macquarie Park, Sydney, but support clients across every Australian state and territory through remote management, national field partners and scheduled site visits for regional locations.
Can you take over from our current IT provider?
We handle the whole transition: documentation capture, credential handover, licence audits and a parallel-running period so nothing is dropped. Most onboardings complete within two to four weeks with no downtime for your team.
Do you work alongside internal IT teams?
Often. Many clients keep an internal IT manager and use SonarNext for after-hours coverage, specialist networking work, network monitoring or overflow support. We fit the model to your team, not the other way around.
What are your response times?
Support hours, response targets and escalation paths are set in your service agreement. We confirm how to report urgent issues and what coverage your plan includes before service begins.
Ready to talk through your project?
Tell us what you are planning — a new site, a network that keeps dropping out, or IT that needs a safer pair of hands. We will come back with straight answers and a clear quote.
