Why SonarNext exists

Sonar Technologies International has delivered enterprise mobility and workflow software to Australian transport, logistics, healthcare and manufacturing operators since 1991. Along the way, clients kept asking us for something adjacent: run our IT, supply our hardware, fix our warehouse Wi-Fi, design the network for our new site.

That infrastructure work grew into a practice of its own — and in 2026 we gave it its own name: Sonar Next, written as one word. SonarNext carries the same engineers, the same ISO 9001 quality systems and the same 24/7 support culture, with a single focus: the physical and managed IT layer that operational businesses run on.

What we do

Everything between the purchase order and a site that works — and everything after it:

• Wireless & networking. Surveyed, designed, cabled, installed and validated by the same engineers — for warehouses, freezers, offices, campuses and whole properties.
• Mobility & hardware. Rugged devices, printers and IT hardware supplied, staged, enrolled and supported — then retired securely at the end of their life.
• Managed IT & fit-outs. Monitoring, helpdesk and a named IT manager, independent health checks, and the IT layer of new offices and warehouses.

How we are different

• We write mobility software, not just install it. Our parent has built enterprise mobility and workflow software since 1991, so we design networks for the scanner at hip height in a freezer aisle, not the laptop on a desk.
• Measured designs. Our wireless engineers are Ekahau certified, current to Wi-Fi 7. Predictive design, AP-on-a-stick validation and post-install surveys — and you keep the heatmaps and raw files.
• The designer commissions the design. The engineers who survey your site are the ones who install, validate and hand it over, with licensed cablers and certified test results.
• Vendor-neutral. We partner with HPE Aruba, Cisco, Ubiquiti, Fortinet and Zebra, and audit and support networks someone else installed. The recommendation follows the requirement, not a sales target.
• Plain English. Itemised quotes, honest advice and documentation you own — including when the answer is that you do not need us.
• Working around your operations. We schedule around your shifts, seasons and go-lives, not our convenience, and one team owns the outcome.
• Proven where it is hardest. Live 24/7 distribution centres, coolrooms at -25°C, and solar-powered point-to-multipoint links across farms that we still monitor today.
